Billie Bejewelled originally began as a way of sharing my handmade jewellery and beads and soon grew into something much more.
I had my son in May 2009 and as we are both sociable creatures I often found myself out and about with friends. I began to get fed up with the lack of high chairs or the old, dangerous or filthy chairs some venues had. I began playing round with ideas and came up with my first High Chair in a Bag. The design has evolved into a stable, portable fabric chair swag which fits in your handbag, stroller or nappy bag. The High Chairs are custom made and machine sewn by me. I choose fabrics according to the requests of the parent or buyer.
Then came the desire to see my son wearing fun, cool clothes which are hard to come by for boys. So I began making my own and expanded into girls outfits as well. The clothes are a mix of ‘reclaimed’ and new fabrics which are sourced from all over to provide, unusual, bright, funky clothes.
